    A little background music

Post  Susanna on Fri Sep 18, 2009 3:53 pm

Imagine growning up in a very conservative, very religious, fundamentalist Christian home, going to a Christian university and marrying a minister, having three children and pretending that your life is exactly what you dreamed it would be. However, underneath it all, you feel and sense things are not what everyone has told you that they are and that life, and spirituality is much more complex and diverse than what you've been taught to believe. Imagine, too, that from the time you were a very small child you've always had the sense that you've walked on this planet before, and you know about places, things, and people that there is no way, at your tender, young, age that you could know about. Imagine remembering and even knowing pieces of music that you've never heard or seen before, and when traveling to a far-off country--a place you've never been to nor ever seen pictures of--you recognize it and even have an intense emotional response to it. Then imagine after an entire lifetime of such experiences you meet that certain "soul" that you have been searching for your entire life, not knowing that you were even searching for them until that magic moment when you seemingly by chance find them. Then imagine being awakened to the understanding and realization of reincarnation--something that is totally alien to your belief system--only to find that you have awakened memories of a notable past life. Where do you go? Who do you talk to? Your minister husband? Your conservative Christian family? Your conservative Christian friends/members of your church?

I have just described the first nearly 39 years of my life up until May of 1999, when I met the one who I had been searching for my entire life. Since that time my life has been a roller coaster ride of tremendous joy combined with unmeasureable sorrow, wild adventure and ordinary, even mundane life, and a heart that overflows with love and gratitude for finding the love of all my lives, my twin soul.

Not everyone's notable past life story will be as dramatic or even as traumatic as mine, and others will be more-so, but everyone's is important. Remembering a notable past life is a serious matter and is deeply spiritual, and in many ways very humbling, carrying with it a tremendous burden and responsibility. It is never to be taken lightly.

Please know that I am honored to be a part of your journey. I don't claim to know all the answers, but I will pledge to be a faithful friend and companion with you in your journey and will be here to help you as you seek your truth.
